You're god damn right it's coming home. For the first time since 2015 vs Georgia Tech and the first road game vs Oklahoma in 2012 Notre Dame dominated an opponent many thought it would lose to. The 38-18 victory wasn't as close as the final score indicated as the Fighting Irish laid off the gas in the second half and cruised to an easy victory over a hated rival in Sparty.
But let's get back to Brian Kelly. The purple headed monster made his 2017 debut, this time in celebration and dance, as Notre Dame got their Megaphone back! It was a well deserved celebration and you can tell the players are definitely buying in right now on the ND train. They still got a ways to go and looking back they were just a bad night from QB Brandon Wimbush vs UGA from being undefeated but Notre Dame is definitely trending in the right direction.
This week they got Miami of Ohio at home followed by a road trip to Chapel Hill to take on North Carolina. Both should be decisive wins before a week off and a HUGE home game vs USC. If ND can protect the football and continue to dominate the line of scrimmages I don't see a team on their schedule they shouldn't be favored to beat including USC.
It's still a long ways away but if ND runs the table and goes 11-1 with their schedule I don't see how the playoff committee can keep them out of the final 4 unless all those conference champions are undefeated.
