Florida, the location was called "a swampy,
depressed area west of the old gym." Today it
is simply called "The Swamp", one of college
football's greatest stadiums.

building back to the days of games played on
baseball fields, where fans drove their Model
T's up to the sidelines to watch the Fightin'
Gators play. And then, under the inspiration of
University President John Jay Tigert, there
arose a permanent home for them.
