Sign. Me. Up.
The Sopranos, which came out almost 25 years ago on HBO, arguably the best television show of all-time deserved a major motion picture release. The Many Saints of Newark, a prequel to The Sopranos, looks like it's got a great chance to live up to the heightened expectations that the show already delivered to fans.
Will it? Who knows. But I'll be watching it.
You got James Gandolfini's (RIP) son, Michael, playing young Anthony Soprano so it has a nostalgic feel to it. You have David Chase back as the writer, producer and screenplay writer so hopefully we are getting that Sopranos grit and great story telling involved. You have well established actors such as Jon Benthal, Vera Farmiga, Ray Liotta, and Corey Stall involved with key characters.
I'm looking forward to seeing the young character of Anthony Soprano develop before our eyes on the streets of Newark. Who wouldn't want to see it? Fuhgeddaboudit!
