Not a huge shocker by any means but still it's gotta hurt Tyler Buchner's ego a little bit. Buchner transferred to Alabama and followed OC Tommy Rees after he lost his starting job to Sam Hartman in the spring. Now it looks like Buchner might not even be 2nd string. He's not the clipboard holder or Nick Saban's chord holder but to be honest he isn't that far from it at this point of his collegiate career. I feel for Buchner. He should have probably just stuck it out in Notre Dame and got his degree and then transferred. Oh well.
